My Milkshakes Bring All The Dogs To My Yard!
Not that kind of milkshake! The smooth, frozen kind that makes any day extra special. Happy 4th of July everyone! Hope you are all having a great one. Here in Colorado we are expecting another scorcher so it is a perfect day to make up a batch of these easy fresh and fruity yogurt milkshake dog treats for your favorite pup.
Recipe and Ingredients:
- 1 cup strawberries (red) or blueberries (blue).
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt.
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream.
Blend all ingredient together in a blender. Pour into pet safe containers. Place in your freezer until solid. Serve to your toasty pup (cats can enjoy this treat as well).

I used glasses for the pictures in this post but normally I would put the milkshake mixture into a plastic bowl or cup. You could even pour this yummy dog treat into ice cube trays with a fun shape.
If you want to make your dog’s milkshake into more of a smoothy replace the 1.2 cup of heavy whipping cream with more Greek yogurt. This will make the mixture thinner. You can also use any fruit that your pup enjoys. Be wild and crazy and mix and match fruit for fun flavors.
Strawberries and blueberries are a great treat for your dogs and cats. They are sweet and juicy but don’t add any unwanted sugar to your pet’s diet. They are also loaded with antioxidants, vitamin C, potassium, and manganese. Yogurt provides probiotic benefits and is an excellent source of calcium. All of these ingredients are good for your canine companions health. Blend together and freeze them and you add a huge dose of happiness to their day.
All of us here at Rocket Dog Blog wish you and your family a very Happy Independence Day! We always love to hear from our readers. Let us know how you spend this holiday and if you gave this recipe a try.
