Welcome to the Rocket Dog Blog! My name is Dalinda. I am so glad that you stopped by to check us out. My hope is that you will find something here that informs you, inspires you, encourages you or just makes you smile. 😉
First off, say what you will, but I truly believe that Diet Coke is the elixir of life!!!! You can keep your fancy coffee or craft beer and bring me a case of Diet Coke.
My family and I currently live in a suburb of Denver. A fun fact is that both my husband and I are Colorado natives. We are a rare species here, now that Colorado growing by leaps and bounds.
I have worn many hats over my adult life, new home sales representative, travel agent, volunteer coordinator, home school parent. But currently I am a stay at home wife and mom of two humans, three Chihuahuas, and two cats. My oldest human kid is married and out of the nest, while my second is preparing to move out of state in the next few months. My fur baby tribe is made up of Oliver (age 15), Percy (age 11) and Iggy (age 10). All three Chihuahuas are rescues from the Dumb Friends League and are my inspiration for this blog. Our two cats are Stanley (age 16) and Sophie (age 12).
I love movies and television. I am as much of a Walking Dead fan as I am a Downton Abbey fan. My current obsession on TV is The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Amazon Prime Video! As for movies my favorites are all over the board. I love Rom Coms just as much as Super Heros and Sci Fi. I also love to read and listen to audio books. I spend sooo much money on Audible.com every month because I eat though a book a week. So I will occasionally mention my favorites or something that struck my fancy.
I started Rocket Dog Blog about three and a half years ago just as I was about to turn 50. I wanted to spark the creativity that I felt had slipped away while I was busy raising kids. Can someone tell me where my 20, 30 and 40’s went? It is also a way for me to find what the next chapter of life is going to look like. This is a new season of life so I wanted a new adventure. With that I can say you never know what I might write about. So far my blog has mostly been focused on pets but other topics tend to slip in here and there and who knows what the future may hold. So hold on and thank you for joining me on this journey as we explore the galaxy of pets and their human!
